We're back! UMAR students return to classes this week!

This is a cautious and gradual process of returning to our classrooms. Every possible precaution has been taken to prepare for this week. Now we see how well everything goes and watch for unexpected problems.

Therre will be no sudden rush and onslaught of confused and bewildered people.  For Monday, only the 9th semester students will arrive and and each day after that there will be more.

MONDAY October 4th, 2021

Here they come!  Does anyone recognize these students?  These are the first students I saw that morning.

Here are some more, coming out of the bushes.

I can help with the identification this time.  It's Osmar, our winner of The Daily Planet Mjolnir!

That is all I have for day one.  If you stepped outside of any building, the streets were mostly bare of people as everyone went directly to their classrooms.

TUESDAY, October 5th, 2021

Our numbers are beginning to grow.  You could even see small groups walking to classes together.  But it is not always easy to tell who these people are behind those face masks and shields.

Here they come, ready for everything.

I believe that is Ana and Fatima.

Way to go, ladies.  All lined up in an orderly fashion.

I see Abril, Nidia and Xunashi and so does Rowena.

Look!  It's Angela Denova and Joana Lopez!  I think this is the first time I've met them offline and they are just as nice in real life.

That is definitely Juan Andres on the left and Jazmin on the right,  with more prizes from our online class.

Yay!  Who hasn't missed the positive energy?  Well, that is returning too!

I have become much better at identifying people just with their eyes but hearing people speak really helps out.  As soon as they said hello, I knew I was talking to Laeticia and Priscila.

After such a long time of seeing obstinate and selfish crybabies refusing to wear masks, it is such a relief to see not a single "medical exemption" amongst our students.  These people give us hope for a better future.

Check out Oliver's super hi-tech mask.  This guy is not fooling around.

Looks like lunch time.

Fernando!  For sure.  I would know this guy anywhere.

These last 2 days have been fantastic.  Let's see who shows up tomorrow!
